Personal Studies:

Sometimes between projects I spend time messing around with new tools or applying new techniques in order to have a wider palette of possibilities to work with when I'm introduced to new projects. These personal studies not only help me more thoroughly familiarize myself with software but they also help me find my voice as a designer by having fun!

Fusion is a personal project where I experimented with the pure treatment of typography. This includes the effects of kerning characters to create overlap and the warping of outlined text within a confined space. In this example, I also experimented with the effects of texture from overlays to add character and personality to the overall design.

Fill the Void is a personal project experimenting with different compositional strategies through the use of the path tool, blend tool and gradient tool in Illustrator and Photoshop to create the illusion of depth in space. In this example, I also experimented with vibrant colors to enhance the effects of the overall design.
